Nov 4 - Bio, Photos & Social Media
with Bettina Mehne

In this intensive class, Bettina Mehne will speak about how you present yourself as a musician with top-notch material and on social media. She will work with you through bios which are not boring but are actually read by promoters, presenters and audiences. She will guide you through missteps of photos and what to watch out for. And she will give you a crash course in social media.

Biographies can be longwinded and boring. Many musicians think they only need one bio listing all their engagements and prices starting almost before they were born. These bios are obsolete. Learn how to tailor your bio for different readers so that they have an impact.

In a visual world photos give a first impression of you as a musician. You want to convey your professionalism and energy. Bettina talks you through what kind of photos you need and what to ensure for a photo shoot.

Everybody is on social media. Your profiles might be looked at by promoters and orchestras without you even realizing. Suddenly your last party photo is the unspoken reason for not getting into that festival orchestra. But social media can also convey a strong story of your musicianship and personality. Learn about how to create such a story and how to communicate it.

Please send Bettina your bios, photos and links to your social media channels beforehand.
