The Brazilian conductor Simone Menezes is founder and artistic director of the Camerata Latino Americana. She conduct currently at Sala São Paulo (Brazil) and has a fellowship to assist Paavo Jarvi in several projects in Europe. Simone Menezes graduated in conducting, with honours, from École de Musique de Paris. She is dedicated to the promotion of Brazilian composers, having recorded 3 CDs and premiered over 20 works. She has directed orchestras in France, United States, Portugal and Eastern Europe and has collaborated with Marin Alsop, Paavo Järvi, Thomas Adés and Claudio Cruz, among others. Recently engagements include Orchestre Pasdeloup (Paris), Orquestra Sinfônica Nacional (Rio de Janeiro), Orchestre National de Lille.
