Maya Soltan

biography

Russian Accompanist and Repetiteur Maya Soltan trained at the Moscow State conservatory and the Royal Academy of Music. She studied with Michael Dussek and Andrew West. Maya is a former trainee at the National Opera Studio, where she was supported by a Nelly Groner Bursary.

Engagements include La Serva Padrona, Pergolesi, Eugene Onegin, Tchaikovsky both at the Royal Academy of Music, as well as Bastienne und Bastien, Mozart at the Grove Park Festival. Maya was awarded the Elena Gerhardt Accompanist’s and Lieder prize at the Royal Academy of Music and First prize at the North London Piano festival.

Maya took part in prestigious masterclasses with Kiri Te Kanawa, Simon Keenlyside and the director of the Royal Opera House Kasper Holten.

Highlights of the previous year include collaboration with Philarmonia voices, Royal Academy of Music, Winslow Hall Opera and National Opera Studio.
