Aleksandra Borkiewicz

soprano voice
Lyrical coloratura soprano, born in Lodz, Poland 18.06.1992. Graduated Bachelor in vocal and acting at Music Academy in Lodz, in class of Urszula Kryger and Bernadetta Grabias. Her debut on stage was in 2010 in role of Solange, durying the world prapremiere of Loves from Valldemosa Monastery composed by M. Ptaszynska, in Grand Theatre in Lodz.
She is cooperating with this Opera in many productions, like Il barbiere di Siviglia by G. Rossini in role of Rosina, Don Giovanni by W. A. Mozart in role of Zerlina, Eine Nacht in Venedig by J. Strauss in role of Ciboletta. In 2015 she has made her debut in Polish National Opera in A miracle, or Cracovians and Highlanders by J. Stefani in role of Basia. This project is made with a cooperation with Young Artist Program – Opera Academy in National Polish Opera in Warsaw.
She was creating her opera roles in cooperation with directors such as Tomasz Konina, Beata Redo-Dobber, Natalia Babińska, Maria Sartova, Artur Hofman, Jarosław Kilian.
She was taking part in many student projects, such as Coffee Cantata by J. S. Bach (Lieschen) and Lodz Story by W. Korcz (Ewa) – world prapremiere. She has also represented Music Academy in Lodz twice, durying the Young Opera Forum in Bydgoszcz (2013 and 2014).
In her artistic achievements Aleksandra has also a participation in Carmina Burana by Carl Orff (soprano part) with Polish Young Chamber Choir and many concerts with String and Brass Orchestra of Music Academy in Lodz.
She was cooperating with many conductors, such as Wojciech Rodek, Eraldo Salmieri, Jacek Sykulski, Marcin Wolniewski, Wojciech Michniewski, Władysław Kłosiewicz.
A winner of a special prize at XVI International Voice Competition, name of Ada Sari – the best interpretation of a polish song and a special prizes at Vocal Competition in Mlawa, Poland.
A stipendist of Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for an outstanding music activity (twice, 2015 and 2016).
Sopranist is permanently developing her skills durying vocal master studies with professors and opera singers such as Izabella Kłosińska, Matthias Rexroth, Eytan Pessen, Joanna Woś, Olga Pasichnyk, Brenda Hurley, Rudolph Piernay, Raffaele Cortesi, William Allenby, Thomas Herbut, Annett Andriesen.
