Josue Casillas

Josué Casillas, principal flutist of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Puerto Rico, was principal flutist in Houston Grand Opera (1996-2001) and Symphony of Southeast Texas (2001-2004). Josué Casillas, native of Bayamon, and a graduate of the Escuela Libre de Música in San Juan, studied the Bachelor of Music (1986), and Artist Diploma (1987) in the Cleveland Institute of Music. In 1994 Casillas won an internship with the Houston Symphony Orchestra through which completed the Master of Music at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Currently, Josué Casillas is also professor of flute at the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico.
