Una Stanic


Una Stanic was born in Belgrade on December 13, 1997.   She began studying violin at the age of five and her supplementary musical studies included piano studies. Una is currently a student of Prof. Pavel Vernikov at the Vienna Conservatory and an associate student of Prof. Vesna Stanković-Moffatt at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria. She has participated in masterclasses with Prof. Pavel Vernikov, Zakhar Bron, Vesna Stankovic-Moffatt, Aaron Rosand, Joseph Silverstein, Stefan Milenkovich, Tatiana Balashova, Nemanja Radulović, Dejan Bogdanovich and Roman Simović.

Una has received numerous prizes at various national and international competitions. She won the First Prize at the International Violin Competition "Remember Enescu" in Sinaia – Romania and the Special prize "Pro memoria Enescu" for the best musical interpretation of Enescu; two First Prizes at International Music Competition "Vittoria Caffa Righetti" in Cortemilia, Italy; Second Prize at International Kocian Violin Competition in Usti nad Orlizi, Czech Republic; two First Prizes at International Competition of Young Musicians "Petar Konjović" (European Union of Music Competitions for Youth – EMCY) in Belgrade, Serbia; First Prize at International Competition of young musicians "Ohrid pearls" (EMCY) in Ohrid, Macedonia (FYROM); Third Prize at the National Guarnerius Competition, Belgrade; Special prize – scholarship at the International competition "Andrea Postachinni" in Italy. At the Serbian National competitions Una was awarded First Prizes and Laureates every year between 2004 and 2012. In 2010 Una was the Finalist at the IV Moscow International "David Oistrakh"ViolinCompetition. She received ArtLink's prestigious „The Most Promising Young Music Artist Award" in 2012 and The Prize – Music scholarship as outstanding young artist in Steiermark, Austria in 2013.

In 2013 Una also won the First Prize at the „Szymon Goldberg Award 2013" in Germany and the First Prize at the „Mary Smart Competition 2013" of Summer Music Festival in New York City, USA.

Her latest recognition was the Absolute First prize at the International violin Competition „Young talents and orchestra" in Italy 2014 and also the Audience Prize, which brings her the soloist concert with Bacău 'Mihail Jora' Philharmonic Orchestra in 2015.

In 2014 Una received the Scholarship from Maestro Claudio Abbado for her studies at Music Academy Fiesole in Italy. Una made her debut with orchestra at the age of nine in Kolarac Endowment Concert Hall in Belgrade. She has performed in Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Romania, Russia, Greece, Slovenia, Croatia, USA, Germany and in numerous humanitarian concerts in Belgrade.She performed at numerous festivals, like Evmelia Music Festival in Greece, Ljubljana Festival, ArtLink Festival in Belgrade, KozArt Festival, Bunt Festival and Summer Music Festival in New York. 

  Una is a soloist and concertmaster of ArtLink's Youth Chamber Orchestra, as well as an associate member of Vienna Chamber Orchestra.
