biography
Keiko Omura was born in Osaka / Japan. After completing piano and music education courses in Osaka,she studied the piano with Prof. Klaus Schilde, music education and musicology in Munich, Germany. After teaching and concert activities she once again studies in Weimar with Prof. Gerlinde Otto (Piano), Prof. Bernhard Klapprott (Harpsichord), Stefan Mai and Prof. Georg Christoph Biller (Orchastral Academy), and Prof. Midori Seiler (Chamber Music). She also studied musicology in Salzburg and fortepiano in Trossingen. She attended master classes by Bob van Asperen,
Mark Kroll, David Shemer, Pierre Hantai, Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, Bart van Oort and others. She participated in numerous concerts as a solist and continuo harpsichord player like catats and operas.As a fortepianist, she alos plays on original fortepianos from the collection of the musical instruments museum Kremsegg castle where she works as an assistant curator. She is currently completing two masters´degrees at the Anton Bruckner Privat University in Linz harpsichord/Early Music with Prof. Jörg Halubek and Fortepiano with Prof. Wolfgang Brunner.
