Rick Robinson - Gitcha Groove On!
This initial commercial recording in 2010 of CutTime Simfonica string sextet represents a classical player taking a night out on the town, looking for a dance groove to fit their mood. They go from club to club sampling live music before being entranced by one particular jam. In between they recall music history and the influence of exotic styles to both classical and popular music.

This video outlines some of the goals of CutTime and the director/composer's mission to connect classical with a wider audience. Featuring samples from the inaugural performance in 2010, the video shows the surprising blend of classical development with urban pop that may usher many new listeners to jump into Dvorak.
