biography
Giulio "Julyo" D'agostino (born in Genoa, Italy) is an Italian guitarist, mandolin player, songwriter, producer and bass player of Italian origin who has several International Awards for his film scoring work.

Julyo is the inventor of the "photosonic guitar" and one of the pioneers of the new wave of Color Music movement started in Tokyo during late 2005. He is the founder of the "Photosonic Orchestra" and co-founder of electronic music projects "Karmatic" and "LiMEN". He has worked and performed with Armando Corsi (Paco de Lucia, Ivano Fossati), Mark Mangold (Cher, Michael Bolton), Mike Mangini (Steve Vai, Extreme), Keith Patchel (Johnny Thunders, Television), Michael Maccini (Simple Minds) and Laurence Gartel (Andy Wharol, Coca Cola).

Julyo music has been featured on countless TV and radio commercials worldwide from Coca Cola to Calvin Klein, NBC Television to O3 HitRadio Austria. 

He is also involved with the brain-music project StreamOfConsciousness.org and the Dublin club nights King Kong Club and Exploding Plastic Inevitable.
