A composer/conductor with broad experience as orchestral musician and educator, Oscar enjoys a varied portfolio of activity:

·Teaching:

Royal academy of Music (Professor of Orchestration) and The Yehudi Menuhin School, Royal Conservatoire of The Hague-School for Young Talent (guest lecturer, Summer Festival 2013).

·Conducting:

City of Salamanca Youth Orchestra (artistic director 2011-2014), Orpheus Sinfonia London (guest, June 2014), The Yehudi Menuhin School Junior Orchestra, Royal Academy of Music (ensembles), Salamanca University Choir (symphonic collaborations in 2012, 2013, 2014), Camerata XXI Orchestral Courses (courses for young musicians in Catalonia, 2012, 2013, 2014), CreArt Ensemble (2008 tour), Guildhall School of Music and Drama New Music Ensemble, Jury of the International Wind Band Contest 'City of Valencia' (July 2014).

Finalist: Barclays-St. Paul's Cathedral Competition Prize.

·Performing:

A graduate violinist from the Valencia Conservatoire, Òscar was active as an orchestral and contemporary ensemble performer before moving to the UK to further his studies and pursue a career as a composer/conductor. He played with the Spanish Youth National Orchestra at the BBC PROMS in 1996 and worked with first class conductors such as Carlo Maria Giulini, Lutz Köhler, Gianandrea Noseda, Andras Ligeti, and international soloists such as M. Rostropovich, Pepe Romero and Carlos Bonell. He also played with various chamber orchestras, recording for EMI and touring extensively: Dominican Republic, París-Unesco, Auditorio Nacional (Madrid), Palau de la Música-Barcelona, Palau de la Música-Valencia, Edinburgh Summer Festival.
