Award-winning pianist Kosmas Lapatas studied Classical & Modern Piano, Piano Pedagogy, Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue, Musicology, Music Technology, Piano Technology and Computer Composition.
He has received awards in Piano Performance, Composition, Music Education and Conducting.
He also studied Teaching Pedagogy, Music Education, Early, Modern & Post-modern Music, Performance Practice, Philosophy & Aesthetics, Blended & Individualized Teaching, Literature, Poetry & Drama, and Art & Film History. He has attended intensive master classes in Piano Performance & Pedagogy, Music Education, Music Technology, Chamber Music and Conducting.
His tutors are renowned pedagogues from Berklee, Cornell, Curtis, Gnessin, GSMD, Harvard, HCMA, HMK, Indiana, Juilliard, Mannes, Mozarteum, Princeton, RAM, RCM, Royal Holloway, UCL, Yale, and were trained by iconic classical musicians such as Anda, Boulanger, Brailowsky, Curzon, Enescu, Guerrero, Hindemith, Horszowski, Hubert, Kortone, Leteiner, Lhevinne, Marcus, Markevitch, Messiaen, Moravec, Musulin, Naumov, Neumann, Ogdon, Orff, Sebok, Serkin, Skoda, Slenczynska, Solomon, Svetlanova, Tocco, Vlassenko.
Since 1995 he has devoted himself to teaching the piano to children, teen and adults. He is the founder of the Holistic Piano Pedagogy model.
