He studied violin privately with Stefan Biro, which has its root in an illustrious tradition now obsolete. After his Bachelor and Master in solistic violin, awarded with highest honors and special mention, he earned a second Master in chamber music.Admitted in 2010 as a regular student in the class of Boris Belkin, at the Chigi Academy of Siena, he later distinguished himself during the violin masterclass held by A. At the same time, Mengoli is dedicated to the dissemination of music among young people, taking lecture-concert symbolic and esoteric aspects of music at high schools and universities in Italy.
The conducting, in his vision of music, has always been an ideal landing place. After a first approach to the subject under the guidance of Alexander Zignani, he has found in Oleg Caetani the right trainer to make his personality flourish, with whom he works as the only one assistant at international theaters (Mariinsky Orchestra, Sverdlovsk State Philharmonic, Oslo Opera House, Orchestra LaVerdi etc .). Conductor and Soloist in many orchestras (State Philharmony Sverdlovsk (Yekaterinburg, Russia) Orchestra Sinfonica "Nino Rota", Orchestra Nazionale dei Conservatori, "concertino" the Italian Youth Orchestra, and others) and member of GMJO has participated in international Tournèe that led him in Germany, Poland, Hungary, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Slovenia, Lithuania, Panama, Russia playing in the greatest Theatre of Europe (Philarmonie Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, Musikverein, Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Luzerne Festival Theatre, Theatre an der Wien, Palau de la Musica Catalana, Auditorio Nacional de Musica, Laeiszhalle, etc). He prepared the orchestra musicians, often young people, in scores of Beethoven, Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Bellini, etc.., To debut on the podium of the Orchestra Nazionale dei Conservatori as part of the prestigious Sagra Musicale Malatestiana during of a season starring as directors, among others, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Zubin Metha, with great success of audiences and critics, leading it in an extended program between Tartini ("devil's Trill") Barber, Beethoven and Strauss Metamorphosen, attracting the attention of critics ("the orchestra, led by the excellent violinist Mengoli, had its peak in Metamorphosen "La Voce) and the enthusiasm of the audience. He wrote incidental music for theatral works such as "Il Re degli Elfi", A. Zignani. Musical theater, as a performer ("The Kreutzer Sonata", by A. Zignani) and composer, is one of his main interests.
Musicians such as Donato Renzetti, Kent Nagano, Jonathan Nott, Valery Gergiev, Paolo Olmi, John Axelrod, Bruno Aprea, Giuliano Carella, Antonino Fogliani, have shown great interest in the evolution of his directorial skills.
Mengoli has recently rehearsed an entire Probe session with Mariinsky Orchestra (Verdi "La Forza" Overture) as Conductor, replacing Maestro V. Gergiev.
