‘Eclectic | Being Me’ Debut CD Marie François

Belgian pianist Marie François, recorded her debut album last year with music studio Motormusic in Belgium. Two months ago the record company Challenge Records International presented her debut and at the end of the same month, François managed to be in the top 10 of best classical cd releases worldwide. Together with musicians such as Boris Giltburg and Renaud Capuçon…

The choice of repertoire is very eclectic. It starts with a pure classical sonata written by Muzio Clementi and ends with Variations op. 41 by Nikolai Kapustin, which is a jazz composition.  “Being Me” represents the way Marie François interpreted the different compositions: loyal to the composer, but still with an original and stubborn touch. She tried to record a CD not only for classical musicians who know the repertoire, but also for people with an interest in the genre, but without any specific knowledge or background.

Marie François: ‘Everyone will find a piece on this album which they will appreciate. That’s where it all begins.’
