PETROF FEST 2019: July 6-20 in Prague

The Petrof International Summer Festival gathers some of the most prominent artists and music teachers of the planet, who share their knowledge with students from all-over-the-world during two vibrant weeks of classes, concerts, cultural exchange and lifetime experiences in the Czech Republic. The academic program of the festival is open for pianists and string players of any age and nationality. Participants study under the guidance of exceptional artists, perform at master classes and at the festival concerts. Other activities include a fully guided tour of the Petrof Factory and Museum, as well as excursions around Hradec Kralove and the beautiful and historic city of Prague. The final concert of the festival is at Rudolfinum in Prague. The academic program for each participant includes: Five individual lessons on their major instrument Three sessions of chamber music instruction Participation at open master classes Performance at the festival concerts Excursions Optional: participation at the Petrof Fest International Competition An international competition for the participants of the festival will take place at the beautiful Petrof Gallery. Winners will perform at special concerts in prestigious venues in Hradec Kralove and in Prague. Applicants who wish to take part must indicate so in their application form (competition fee: 100 EUR). Competition repertoire: three contrasting pieces or movements. Total performing time must not exceed 25 min.
