Celebration of African-American Music – February 23rd, New York

In honor of Black History Month, join MusicTalks for an exciting concert by Diverse Concert Artists celebrating African-American composers. Discover Chevalier Saint-Georges (the “Black Mozart”), Florence Price, Jazzy string quartet music, and songs by Steve Wonder and Michael Jackson. The concert will honor the incredible life and music of these composers and highlight the stories of heritage, friendships, and social justice behind the music.

Committed to changing the face of classical and crossover music through diversity, Diverse Concert Artists performs a wide array of music from classical to the latest music on the top of the pop charts. The musicians of DCA are highly trained professionals coming from the nations top music conservatories and universities including Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, NYU, Mannes, and more. Musicians have performed on the stages of Carnegie Hall, Royal Opera House of Muscat, Merkin Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the Plaza and many more.
