The piano duo 'ShinPark'
is a south korean duo who lives in Vienna, Austria.
Clara-Mijung Shin and Samuel-Sangwook Park have been
performing together as a piano duo since 2013.
Since 2013, the duo ShinPark studies together as piano duo in the chamber music class of Prof.Denise Benda at Vienna Concervatory (Konservatorium Wien)
Clara Mijung Shin was born in 1980 in South Korea and studied
at Seoul National University of Music and the Vienna Conservatory(Konservatorium Wien) under Prof. Thomas Kreuzberger and has won numerous scholarships (University of Seoul, Byuk-San Scholorship) and Prizes, including she received in 2012 the first prize at the International Music Competition Osaka in Japan.
Samuel Sangwook Park was born in 1990 in South Korea.
Since 2012 he is a scholarship member from the Live Music Now Foundation Austria (Yehudi Menuhin).He completed currently his Bachelor's degree under Prof. Roland Batik at the Vienna Conservatory(Konservatorium Wien) and won numerous awards at international piano and chamber music competitions.(young artists in the 21st century, Italy/Austria; Schubert Competition, Bulgaria; Piano Competition M.Paolo Monopoli, Italy; Vittorio Gui Chamber Music Competition, Italy)
They made their debut as a piano duo in the concert hall of the Vienna Boys' Choir in Vienna, Austria 2013. They performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No.10 for two pianos and Orchestra in E-flat Major, K.365 and the Carnival of Animals by Saint-Saens with Philharmonie Con Spirito
Just a few weeks later, they won second prizes: at the Concorso Internazionale Pianistico "Roma" 2013 (for both categories 'Two Pianos' and '4 Hands').
In June 2015, duo ShinPark awarded the first prize in the category piano duo at the International Piano Competition "Ischia".
In September 2015,the piano duo ShinPark won 2nd prize at the
64th International Music Competition of the ARD,
which's one of the most prestigious classical music competitions.
In December 2015, they won 2nd Prize at International Piano 4 hands competition of Lions Club de Monaco.
They performed W.A. Mozart's Concerto for 2 Pianos with Orchestra in E flat Major KV.365 with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (German: Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks) under the Maestro Jun Märkl at Hercules Hall of Residence Munich, Germany
and Czerny Piano duet (4 hands) concerto in C Major Op.153 with Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo under the Maestro Phillipe Bender at Auditorium Rainier III of Monte-Carlo, Monaco
Since 2015, the piano duo ShinPark studying together with Prof. Hans-Peter and Volker Stenzl at the Rostock University of Music and Theater Germany.
