'From Havana to Buenos Aires' - in Dublin
Ann Liebeck appears at National
Concert Hall Dublin on Friday January 22nd with Cuban
pianist Marcos Madrigal in a recital programme
'From Havana to Buenos Aires'
featuring songs by Montsalvatge, and piano solos
by Cuban musical genius Ernesto Lecuona, and Argentina's
Alberto Ginastera and tango ballads by Piazzolla.
Liebeck has been singing and dancing in her
opera-inspired tango cabaret fusion show Violetta's
for the past two years in major London venues.
She has performed this programme with Madrigal in
Vienna-Leopold Museum, Rome and on London's
Southbank at QEH.
Madrigal just released a solo piano cd CUBA-hommage to
Ernesto Lecuona which recently won the Melomano'dOro prize
We had a chat with Ann, who told us; "Looking forward so much to my recital
with Marcos Madrigal!
Many members of my Irish family will be there to
provide support for us. It is Marcos' first time in Ireland
and we just got his visa approved in the nick of time!
Also hoping to bring my opera-inspired tango
cabaret fusion show Violetta's Last Tango
to Dublin at a later date.
We are really hoping our Irish audience will enjoy
this authentic introduction to Cuban classical music on Friday!
