We all know HELLO STAGE’s favorite color! What’s yours?
Orange in autumn, pink, yellow, magenta,
blue, red in spring, white in winter, green in the summer.
Besides that, gold and silver…what a question!
The color I like most is always depends on my mood and
please: don’t tell this to a psychologist!
I do not want to know what he would tell me about this fact ;-)
What was the best advice a teacher ever gave you?
„Keep on going".
How has your practice changed with time?
Practicing changed during years from only
knowing the music to getting into it deeply.
It is not only important that you know
how to move your whole body - the fingers, the lungs,
the belly; it is also to know how to
prepare before the next tone comes out of the instrument.
And to never give up -
if there is a tough phrase keep on practicing.
I am more into details for producing the sound and
the smoothness that I want now.
What do you think is the most important trait of a successful artist in today’s modern world?
Besides the musicality,
I also see having to be a strong character to be able to show
your personality and your qualities in music.
How much time do you spend every day on Facebook, twitter, and which other ways do you use to promote yourself?
I try not put too
much time into it,
but the sounds of the phone and ipad
always tries to get me back on.
For promotion I use Facebook
and my homepage.
Tell us more about the "Kathrin Christians Presents" series :)
It is mainly about chamber music and preferably
music that doesn’t find easily place in our world today.
I love music from last the past
100 years as long as it is tonal.
But another, for me very important point,
is to reach an audience that is afraid of classical music.
And why do we need to have classical concerts exclusively
in well-known halls? Watch out for what happens!
On a sunny morning, you would play…
…the music I just found in a shop or on the internet.
I love to find treasures!
Do you have a special hobby?
Culture, traveling, friends, sports… as with
the colors, it depends on where I am, what season we have
and also on my free time (I am trying
to start kickboxing since half a year..)
If you would have asked me last week, when I was in the Alps
I would have answered:
„Reading a book in front of the chimney together with a cup of tea“
(there was not enough snow for doing cross-country skiing).
What is the best thing about your home town, Heidelberg?
The best thing is that it is cozy,
young and close to Mannheim and Ludwigshafen.
In my opinion these three cities are like
one with three different districts:
Heidelberg=heritage, Mannheim=future culture,
