#classicalbuzz HELLO STAGE Weekly Highlights October 19th

What an exciting line-up of events this week!

We are thrilled to have the International Singing Competition Neue Stimmen and their finalists on HELLO STAGE! This week is very exciting as they enter the final round, the semi-final concert will take place on on October 22nd at the Stadthalle Gütersloh in Germany and the semi-finalists will be accompanied by an orchestra. A People's Coice Award will also be presented and the finalists announced at the end of the evening.

The final night, on October 24th will also be held at the Stadthalle - both events will be streamed live from their website; www.neuestimmen.de - we wish everyone the best possible luck!

The fascinating Turkish pianist and composer Fazil Say is playing at the acoustically superb Tonhalle Zurich, Switzerland with the Zürcher Kammerorchester, violinist Willi Zimmermann and cellist Nicola Mosca.

As well as Mozart's Symphony Nr. 25 g-minor KV 183 and Piano Concerto No. 12 in A major, K. 414 , they will be performing Fazil Say's Piano Concerto Nr. 2 op. 4 «Silk Road» and Space Jump op. 46 für Violin, Cello und Piano are on the programme - we would love to be there! Good luck to everyone...

All the best to Brazilian conductor Simone Menezes in Sao Paolo on the 22nd this week as she conducts the São Paulo Youth Orchestra!
Meanwhile in Sweden, Romanian pianist Alexandra Silocea is playing with the Gavle Symfoniorkester under Gerard Korsten on the 23rd October in Gavle - toi toi toi!
Across the globe in Rossmoor, United States, the award-winning concert pianist, accompanist, opera coach, conductor and pedagogue Temirzhan Yerzhanov plays on the 23rd October with soprano Alla Markovic at the Rossmoor Community, Tahoe Room...best of luck to you both!

The Peninsula Symphony Orchestra are perfoming Rachmaninoff's divine Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 2 with pianist Soyeon Kate Lee under Maestro Mitchell Sardou Klein; on the Firday, 23rd they play at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center in San Mateo US, and on Saturday 24th, at the Flint Center in Cupertino. The Roman Carnival Overture by Berlioz and Dvořák's Symphony No.7 complete these fine concerts...
