Wednesday's Weekly Top 5! September 2nd

Of course, this week the Maestro himself, Itzhak Perlman graces the cover of our Weekly Top 5 - imagine our surprise (not to mention the honour!) when we first saw his page on HELLO STAGE and then having the opportunity to do an Orange Twist interview... His video with Billy Joel is proof that classical musicians rock and his thoughts on practicing are invaluable to every musician. Happy Birthday Itzhak Perlman, a true inspiration in so many ways!
We enjoy keeping up with Krzyżowa-Music and congratulate Viviane Hagner on this exciting "ambitious music workshop with a festival flair. Each year the workshop will culminate in a series of concerts in Poland (Lower Silesia) coupled with an international tour which will make Krzyżowa-Music resonate throughout Europe."

Also causing a stir this week, we welcome promoter GetClassical to HELLO STAGE. Founded by music journalist Ilona Oltuski, GetClassical aims to shake up the classical music scene in New York by introducing classical musicians to new venues with a unique approach: "GetClassical creates a very personal and relaxed environment that encourages people - with a glass of wine in hand - to celebrate talent, the way it used to be celebrated when classical compositions of the day, represented the newest talent on the block." We look forward to following this great concept!
Discover the award-winning violinist Naoko Matsui this week and enjoy her playing Bach's Doppel Concerto BWV1043 in her media section...

Do pop by and enjoy soprano Anna Kostal's colourful page - currently studying in Vienna, we enjoy watching her career develop!
