Wiktoria Szubelak is one of the most talented young Polish classical guitarists. She was the finalist of the Polish edition of the Eurovision Contest for Young Musicians having played with Maestro Wojciech Rajski and the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra at the Witold Lutoslawski Concert Studio in Warsaw.
Wiktoria Szubelak studied classical guitar at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music of which she graduated with a Master of Arts Degree with honours in 2011.
Wiktoria Szubelak has participated in numerous courses and masterclasses of famous guitar virtuosos such as Carlo Marchione, Marco Socias, Pavel Steidl, Thomas Müller-Pering, Marcin Dylla, Łukasz Kuropaczewski, Tomasz Zawierucha.
Wiktoria is prize winner of international classical guitar competitions including first prizes at Gdansk Guitar Festival, International Guitar Festival in Gryfice Trzebiatow (as a soloist and in guitar duo), National Guitar Festival in Kielce (leader in guitar quartet), second prize at International Guitar Festival in Sanok, third prize at International Guitar Festival and Competition in Krynica. Wiktoria was also a laureate of many national guitar competitions as a soloist as well as a chamber player. She was finalist of the International Guitar Competition in Llerena in Spain in 2011.
She has been honoured multiple times with awards and scholarships for artistic achievements, such as Polish Minister of Culture Scholarship, scholarships by cities of Wroclaw and Warsaw, The National Herritage Scholarship.
Despite of her young age Wiktoria has performed works from the most demanding repertoire appearing successfully in many countries of Europe and South America. She has taken part in several festivals including IV Festival Internacional de Guitarra „GuitarFestPeru" in Lima, II Festival Internacional de Guitarra en La Ciudad Blanca in Bolivia, V Festival Internacional de Guitarra „Cuerdas Al Aire" in Lima, XVI Christian Culture Festival in Łódź, IX G.Ph. Telemann' Festival in Żary, VI International Guitar Festival in Gryfice Trzebiatów.
Her concerts have been recorded and broadcasted by radio and television.
