Vera Karner (1994, Austria) studies with Prof. Alexander Neubauer at MUK Wien and with Prof. Reiner Wehle at Musikhochschule Lübeck, Germany.
In 2016 she won the Fanny Mendelssohn Förderpreis (Germany) which allowed her to produce her Debut CD "Gassenhauer/Gassenbauer" with Berlin Classics (Edel AG) together with double bass player Dominik Wagner and pianist Aurelia Visovan.
Vera Karner performed as a soloist with Philharmonic Orchestra of state opera Varna, Philharmonic Orchestra of state opera Stara Zagora (Grigor Palikarov, Bulgaria), Chelsea Music Festival Orchestra (Ken Masur, New York), Orchestra Andres Bello (Santiago Meza, Santiago de Chile) Camerata Musica Hungarica (Ernst Smole, Wiener Konzerthaus), Polish Chamber Orchestra Sopot (Wojciech Rajski, Germany), Franz Schmidt Chamber Orchestra (Nicolas Radulescu, Austria) and Jugendsymphonieorchester Niederösterreich. Vera Karner won 7 first prices in the Austrian Bundeswettbewerb of Prima La Musica, 2. prize in the 13th International Competition Citta di Chieri (Italy), she won the audition Musica Juventutis to play a recital in 2015 in Wiener Konzerthaus and is Winner of Lions Musikpreis Österreich 2015 which allowed her to represent Austria in the international final in Augsburg, where she reached the last round.
Vera Karner performed in Wiener Musikverein, Wiener Konzerthaus, Festival Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival, Chelsea Music Festival (New York), Festival Österreichische Musikwochen (Bulgaria) and others.
Vera Karner was recorded for Austrian's classical music radio chanel Ö1 during the programmes "Philharmonische Verführung" organized by members of Wiener Philharmoniker, "Intrada", Jubilee of 20 years "Österreichischer Klassiktreffpunkt" and others.
Vera has gained orchestral experience in the Stage Orchestra of Wiener Staatsoper or with Wiener Symphoniker.
She attended master classes with Yehuda Gilad, Francois Benda, Matthias Schorn, Sharon Kam, Michel Lethiec, Ralph Manno, Eduard Brunner and many others.
