Trio Vitruvi

"We met each other in the Summertime of 2013, full of ambitions and hopes of making wonderful music together. We continued through the late summer with concerts at Danish summer festivals, and one in Germany, at the invitation of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festspiele. Working together intensely in this period, we grew closer and closer, rapidly coming to the realization that playing together as Trio Vitruvi was something we couldn't live without."- Trio Vitruvi, Alexander McKenzie, Niklas Walentin & Jacob la Cour

Trio Vitruvi has been privileged to work with mentor Professor Tim Frederiksen at the Royal Danish Academy of music, and many hours spent rehearsing reached a turning point half a year later at the Danish Radio's Chamber Music Competition 2014, held every three years. Trio Vitruvi won both First Prize and the Audience Prize and went on two weeks later to win yet another First Prize in Latvia at the Jurmala International Music Competition. Since then, they have been playing concerts in the greatest concert halls in Denmark, and have had concerts in most of Europe, in Russia and in China.
