The members of Trio Grisart, Yeo-Young Yoon, Manuel Hofer and David Eggert have been strongly influenced by ensembles such as the Hagen Quartet, the Julliard String Quartet, the Vienna String Sextet as well as teachers such as G. Kurtag, E. Feltz, M. Perenyi, T. Zimmermann, H. Schiff, K. Kashkashian. Among their main Interests are wrongly forgotten repertoire from diferrent eras, exploring the opportunities to work with living composers, as well as an innovative approach to more established classical works. To combine historically informed aspects of interpretation, rethorics or formal structures, with an awareness of our present time, our habits and boundaries is essential to the Trio Grisart's approach to repertoire.
In October 2013 Trio Grisart have been accepted in the prestigous "String Quartet Graduate Course" lead by Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet) at the Academy of Music in Basel/Switzerland.
Upcoming projects include performances in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Italy, France, Japan and South Korea including a performance with pianist Menahem Pressler as well as a Trio CD and a recording of Dvoraks Piano Quartets with German Pianist Caspar Frantz.
