Stefan Weninger was born in 1995 and is an Austrian multi-percussionist. He got his first music lessons at the age of 5 years at the local music school and started studying at the "Joseph-Haydn-Conservatory" in Eisenstadt, Austria in the class of PD Prof. Mag. Ulrike Stadler in 2009.
He also participated in a masterclass with Martin Grubinger and masterclasses with David Friedman, Katarzyna Mycka, Anton Mittermayr and Raphael Haeger are scheduled.
Stefan was awarded the 1st Prize at the Austrian national competition prima la musica several times, on regional as well as on national level. In 2013 he won 2nd Prize in the "Jenö Takacs–scholarship–competition" and in 2014 he won the audition "Musica Juventutis", intended to provide young musicians with the possibility of a solo concert in the Concert Hall, Vienna.
Further, he also gained orchestra experience in the orchestra of the Haydn-Conservatory, in the Youth Symphonie Orchestra of Lower Austria, in the Viennese Jeunesse Orchestra and as a substitute in the "Großes Recreation Orchestra Graz".
He has already played concerts in Germany, Poland, France and Italy.
