Simeon Goshev was born in 1990 in Bulgaria. He grew up in an artistic environment – his father being a composer and pianist, and his mother – an architect. This helped him build his own individual approach and sentiment towards music from a very early age. He began his music education at the age of four by taking piano lessons from his father. Then, at the age of eight he began having lessons with various professors from the National School of Music and the National Academy of Music, Sofia. Simeon got accepted in NSM when he was fourteen, being already a laureate of two important national competitions – 'Vesselin Stoyanov' in Sofia and "Viennese Classic" in Stara Zagora. More prizes followed for the young talent, after his acceptance in the NSM, amongst which were: 1st prize at the International Competition "Evangelia Tjiarri" in Cyprus, and 2nd prize at the competition "Liszt-Bartok" in Sofia.
At that time Simeon commenced playing with the 'Piacere' quintet. The quintet gathered together the most gifted and skilful young musicians in Bulgaria and gained international recognition by making successful concerts in numerous European cities like Stockholm, Copenhagen, Belgrade, Munich, Burghausen, Antalia and more. With the quintet Simeon Goshev won 1st prize of the International Competition "Young Virtuosos" in Sofia.
While being a student in the National School of Music in Sofia, Simeon had the opportunity to work with a number of foreign and Bulgarian professors. He managed to receive his high school diploma one year in advance and got accepted in the University of Music and Fine Arts in Vienna at the age of 17. There he obtained his bachelor degree in the class of Professor Stefan Vladar. While being a student in Vienna, Simeon took master classes with Michel Beroff, Arie Vardi, Klaus Helwig, Pascal Devoyon, Gavriel Lipkind and many others. In addition he became a scholar of two foundations – "Joseph Windisch" in Austria and "Yordan Kamdzhalov" in Bulgaria.
The first year of his Master programme Simeon Goshev spent as a student of Professor Oleg Maisenberg followed by an Erasmus program year in Belgium with Professor Alan Weiss. In the summer of 2014 he attended the master classes of Avedis Kouymdjian and Peter Nagy. Currently Simeon is back in Vienna working with Professor Lilya Zilberstein.
Simeon Goshev recorded for the Bulgarian National Radio, the Bulgarian National Television and the Bawarische Radio.
