Pianist Peter Kostov was born in 1994 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
He took his first piano lessons in 1999 and in 2001 got admitted in the National School for Music and Dance "Dobrin Petkov"-Plovdiv, where he graduated with honors in 2013. During this time he was a student of Vessela Taneva and participated in masterclasses with renowned professors, such as: Stela Dimitrova-Maistorova, Lusiano Gonzales Sarmiento and Marissa Blanes, Tamara Poddubnaya, Georgy Slavchev, Tatyana Levitina, Ludmil Angelov, Adrian Oetiker, Alexander Jenner and Roland Batik.
In 2012 and 2013 he was a student in the private course of famous Bulgarian pianist Ludmil Angelov at the New Bulgarian University in Sofia.
Peter made his debut with the State Opera Orchestra of Plovdiv in 2013, where he played E. Grieg's Piano Concerto in a minor.
Chamber music takes an important place in his career. One of his latest projects is the duo with violinist Jacqueline Preys. They are finalists at the International chamber music competition Plovdiv 2014 and got also a Special "Orpheus" Prize for Best Emerging Artist.
At the moment, Peter is studying in Vienna in the class of renowned pianist and pedagogue Roland Batik.
