Orchester Jakobsplatz München

Since its founding in 2005 by the conductor Daniel Grossmann, the Orchestra Jakobsplatz Munich brings to life music that was written by Jewish composers or influenced by Jewish culture.  In order to show their meaning in contemporary culture the works are presented in concert in a context of music of the 20th and 21st centuries and performed by young professional musicians. The Orchester Jakobsplatz München has the goal of providing a German-Jewish voice in Germany's cultural life.
