Mariko Hara, viola has debuted age of 16, playing Tchaikovsky violin concerto with The Japan philharmonic orchestra in Toyko. She has been pursuing her career in viola since 2005.Her Mentors are Nobuko Imai, Antoine Tamestit and Steven Isserlis.
As a soloist she has performed with the Japan philharmonic Orchestra, Duisburg Philharmoniker, Georgian Sinfonietta, Tunisian Symphony Orchestra, Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss amongst others. She has given recital regularly in Japan and Europe.
Chamber music is her biggest passion.She was a member of Jupiter Quartet Japan for 5 years. The quartet has been filmed for 3 years for a documentary which was broadcasted by the BS Asahi, and it received most distinguish TV prize "Galaxy Award" in japan.
She has been invited to the international festivals, such as Verbier, IMS Prussia Cove, Norfolk, Yellow Barn, Kuhmo, Sysmä and Pärnu.
2012/2013 season, Mariko was chosen for young artist by Mozart Gesellschaft in Dortmund, as a first viola player of its 52 years history. March 2013, she released her debut CD "Fantasie" by ARS production in Germany. It has been broadcasted by WDR, BR and Deutschland radio culture. In Autumn 2014, She will be touring as "Best of NRW" for 13 Recitals with pianist Sarah Tysman in Germany.
