Marie Jacquot was born in Paris in 1990. She studied the trombone at the "Conservatoire National Regional" of Paris and began conducting with Roberto Gatto when she was fourteen years old. She got her literature diploma in 2008 and one year later a Trombone diploma.
In 2009, she moved to Vienna to start a conducting Master and was admit at the University of Music and performing art in the class of Uros Lajovic and participated to serval masterclasses with Zubin Mehta, Simon Rattle, Ralf Weikert, Fabio Luisi, Bertrand de Billy and other great conductors.
During her studies, she spent three months as vocal coach and assistant for the Mauritius Festival and began as guest conductor in Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic and Estonia. In July 2013, she assisted Peter Rundel and the Ensemble musikFabrik Köln for „Michaels Reise um die Erde“ of Stockhausen at the Avery Fischer Hall during the Lincoln Center Festival.
It is in June 2014 after she obtained a master artis's degree conducting the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra that Marie Jacquot marked her entry on the international music scene. She conduct the Prag classical orchestra at the Golden Hall Musikverein, the Vienna Chamber orchestra at the Konzerthaus, musicians from the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra for the Ö1 composition prize organized by the Austria National Bank, assisted Simeon Pironkoff ant the PHACE Ensemble for the Wien Modern Festival and Enno Poppe with Klangforum new music ensemble.
From 2014 to 2016 Marie Jacquot was contract Teacher for wind orchestra at the University of Music and performing art in Vienna. She got the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund, the Liszt Stiftung Weimar - Charlotte Krupp Stipend, and conducting Fellowship at the Aspen Festival and School where she learned with Robert Spano, Lary Radchleff, Christian Arming and Frederico Cortese.
In 2015, Marie Jacquot decided to join the Postgraduate program at the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar with Professor Nicolas Pasquet and she is currently a fellow at the Dirigentenforum German Music Council.
At the Bavarian State Opera she is the assistant conductor of Kirill Petrenko for the „South Pole“ production and conducted in June 2016 a world premier “Tonguecat” for the Munich Opera Festival.
Marie Jacquot is currently the 1st Kapellmeisterin representative of the Music director at the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg.
