Margareta's music is colorful, humorous and strives to create absurd sound images. She achieves this characterization through ironic treatments of traditional musical aesthetics, audio fragmentation of other art forms, vivid rhythmical gestures and use of extended techniques, and recurring thematic reminiscences of melody from her native Balkans.

- Her compositions have been published on albums by
  Decca Records & Croatia Records

- Since 2015, she is a part of the managing committee of ÖGZM
  (Austrian Society for Contemporary Music)

Gaussova krivulja hrvatske glazbe
2016-02-11 Zarez, Zagreb
"..."I upravo su neka od djela skladatelja koji djeluju onkraj protekcionističkih privilegija članstva u Hrvatskom društvu skladatelja bila među kvalitatinim vrhuncima ovogodišnje Tribine. Među njima treba izdvojiti duhovito poigravanje modelima baroknih fanfara u skladbi Circles Ivane Kiš (Izrael), "bestijalnu" interakciju tube i elektronike u Bêtes de Sexe Davora Branimira Vinczea (Francuska), neodoljivo "uvrnut" polistilizam skladbe Ordinary Madness Margarete Ferek-Petrić (Austrija) te osebujno (i iznenađujuće "nedžezersko") glazbeno propitivanje identiteta u Liburniji Maka Murtića."..."
