Katherine Bryan: Silver Bow
 The Scotsman,
"Katherine Bryan's latest CD, Silver Bow, takes music more associated with the violin and adapts it for flute. Her intention is to "offer a new perspective on familiar compositions", and that's exactly what you get from her deliciously ripened version of Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending, a suitably capricious Saint-Saëns' Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso, such tuneful gems as Shostakovich's Romance from The Gadfly Suite and Massenet's famous "Méditation" from the opera Thaïs, and a flirtatiously virtuosic Paganini Caprice No 24. The RSNO under Jac van Steen give comfortable backing. All stops are pulled out for closing adrenalin rush that is Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen. A breathtaking package. *****"

Katherine Bryan - Liebermann Flute Concerto
2010-10-01 Classical Music Magazine,
"Bryan here richly justifies a sheaf of competition wins. Her smooth, full-coloured sound is ideal for the romanticism of Lowell Liebermann's concerto, but she is equally alive to the drama of Nielsen, Poulenc's call for agile wit and the challenges of Georges Hüe's Fantasie."

Katherine Bryan plays Rouse
2014-10-06 The Herald, Glasgow
"The main event on Saturday was not an RSNO performance per se, but the extraordinary performance by principal flautist Katherine Bryan of Christopher Rouse's Flute Concerto, which stole not only the show, but everybody's heart. What a masterpiece this concerto is: 21 years old and one of the great concertos of the late 20th century, played with astounding insight, maturity and aching intensity by this remarkable young musician. They would not let her go. Repeatedly she returned for more applause. She signed CDs at half time. At the end there was another queue and she kept on signing. Bryan has intellect and comprehensive musical resource including expressivity, in endless supply. She is a great musician, a wonderful communicator"
