John Rodger

John Rodger is a lirico-spinto tenor currently singing the leading roles of Verdi and Puccini, Bel Canto and Verismo, selected roles of the French and German repertoire, and new works. He has been called 'a real Italianate tenor with a strong, bright voice, technically secure, and already exciting to hear,' 'intelligent and musical, tall and commanding,' and 'a force among today's young artists.'

Born in Miami Beach, Florida to Canadian and British parents, Mr. Rodger holds British, US, and Canadian nationalities.  Originally trained as a classical guitarist and pianist, Mr. Rodger is active throughout Europe, North America, and the Middle East as a professional tenor, and has also been gaining experience as an assistant conductor of opera and orchestral repertoire.
