Johanna-Leonore Dahlhoff was born on 31st of october 1982 in Hanover, Germany, as the daughter of musicians and received her first music lessons at the age of three with her parents. 

She studied flute with Prof. Hans-Udo Heinzmann (Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg) and Prof. Andrea Lieberknecht (Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media). She is 1st prize winner of the German national competition „Jugend musiziert“ and 1st prize winner of Elise-Meyer competition, Hamburg. 

Johanna-Leonore Dahlhoff was scholarship holder of the Hanoverian Artists Association, the German National Academic Foundation and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).  

As a soloist, chamber music player and orchestra member Johanna-Leonore Dahlhoff has toured widely in most EU countries as well as in Brasil, Japan, Madagascar, Mauritius, Russia, Schwitzerland and the USA. She performed among others in Philharmonie Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, Gewandhaus Leipzig,  Alte Oper Frankfurt, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Royal Albert Hall London and Suntory Hall Tokyo. 

Johanna-Leonore Dahlhoff was member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO), the  Schleswig-Holstein Musik-Festival Orchester, the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra Sapporo (Japan),  prinzipal flutist of the German National Academic Foundation Academy Orchestra and substitute at KlangVerwaltung (München) and Stadttheater Hildesheim. She worked with conductors and soloists such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Christoph Eschenbach, Valery Gergiev, Bernhard Haitink, Lorin Maazel, Helene Grimaud, Thomas Hampson, Viktoria Mullova and Mikhail Pletnev.  

Currently Johanna-Leonore Dahlhoff focuses on cross-genre music projects, contemporary music, improvisation and increasingly composition. She recorded one CD each with her ensembles ELVENHAIN and SAVAS. She lives and works as a freelancing musician and music therapist in Frankfurt/Main, Germany
