Gutfreund Piano Trio was founded in summer 2012 in Karlsruhe. The ensemble consists of Jens Adrian Fischer (piano), Bogdan Michael Kisch (violoncello) and Julian Fahrner (violin). In November 2012, they won the 2nd Prize at the Chamber Music Competition in Karlsruhe. Additionally the trio was awarded 3rd Prize at the 5th International Chamber Music Competition in Val Tidone, Italy. Since 2013, Gutfreund Trio is member of Yehudi Menuhin Foundation „Live Music Now". In September 2014, the trio won the 3rd Prize at the 21st International Brahms Competition in Pörtschach, Austria.
The three musicians regularly work together with international renowned musician, Professor Angelika Merkle in Frankfurt. The trio also gets important impulses by Fauré Quartett and the member of piano trio Jean Paul, Professor Eckhard Heiligers.
