    The new recording of Monteverdi´s Il Ritorno d´Ulisse in Patria, featuring Fernando Guimaraes in the title role, has now been released by the label Linn Records. In this video conductor Martin Pearlman of Boston Baroque explains the choices he made for his performing edition.  
    Impression Diluvio universale (Falvetti) in Amsterdam
    This video contains impressions of the Dutch premiere of Falvetti´s Il diluvio universale at the Concertgebouw in Amstedam on 24 January, with the Cappella Mediterranea under Leonardo García Alarcón. The audio-excerpts are taken from the broadcast of the Dutch Radio 4. Tenor Fernando Guimaraes sang the role of Noé and can be heard in an interview near the end of the video.

    Fernando Guimaraes sings L´Orontea (Cesti)
    Having been awarded Third Prize at the Cesti Competition for Baroque Singing last year at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music, tenor Fernando Guimaraes was offered to sing the role of Alidoro in this year´s production of L´Orontea by Pietro Antonio Cesti. In this video he can be seen and heard in a scene of this opera, recorded during the final of last year´s competition.
