Fernando Escalona

Fernando Escalona Venezuelan counter-tenor.

Initiates his vocal studies with Soprano Margot Parés-Reyna at the Academy of singing at "El Sistema" founded by Maestro Jose Antonio Abreu, where had the opportunity to take master classes with eminent teachers of the height of: Bernhard Kerres, Laura Claycomb, Michael Pinkerton, Gerald Wirth, Gregor Rot, Renée Morloc, Cybele Gouverneur, Markus Marquardt between others, continued his vocal studies with Yves sotin in París and interpretation and style with Isabel Palacios in the Baroque Camerata de Caracas.

Fernando Escalona belonged to the Symphonic Youth Choir Simón Bolívar with which it took part in many international tours as: The residence in the "La Scala di Milano"  in 2015, the festival of Salzburg 2013 both under the direction of Gustavo Dudamel. Lincoln Center in New York 2012 and the most recently  2016 tour on Lisbon and France under conductor Lourdes Sanchez.

His participation like soloist initiated in the year 2005 under the direction  Alfredo Rugeles with the Opera Hans Krasa's "Brundibar" Since then it has had the opportunity to sing in the scenes more importantly of his country, It includes recently his participation in Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" under the direction of the recognized director Christian Vasquez.

Nowadays it continues his vocal studies with the Eminent Maestro Yves Sotín in Paris and has been admitted for " Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles" France for his professional studies into the style of the Baroque Music from Septembre 2016 until 2019.
