Once graduated at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold, studying classical voice with Peter Ziethen and Johannes-Michael Blume, Zurich University of the Arts, Caroline Jahns dedicates herself to her soloist career.
Caroline Jahns attended several Master-Classes, including classes conducted by Kurt Widmer (Basel), Claudia Nüsse (Köln), Gabriela Fritschi (Basel) and Barbara Kemmler (Münster) as well as international Master-Classes of the German Tonkünstlerverband and the German Schubert-Gesellschaft. She perfected her art-song repertoire with Gerda Ziethen-Hantich (Münster) and Thomas Modos (Detmold). These days, Alexandra von der Weth (Düsseldorf) and Johanna Rohmert-Landzettel (Lichtenberg) accompany her soloist activities.
Trained for oratorical chant, Caroline Jahns' repertoire allies to the great oratories and masses, ranging from baroque to modernism. Albeit, her particular passion is directed at the 19th and 20th genres – the Berlin Operetta, the German art-song, the Mélodie Française and, not at least, the Chanson.
Her concert-life takes place in collaboration with prestigious artists of the German and European classical music scene, among others James Pearson (Wien), Michael Preiser (Vereinigte Städtische Bühnen Krefeld/Mönchengladbach), Daniel Blumenthal (Brussels), Itzhak Solsky (concert pianist, Brussels), Michael Schramm (Orchestre of the Bundeswehr, Bonn), Janis Katirtzoglou (Klanken Festival of contemporary music, Maastricht), Bernard Marbaix (Théatre des Martyrs, Brussels), André Weiss (Staatstheater Darmstadt), Oliver Haug (Salonorchester Münster), as well as in Frankfurt am Main Stanislav Rosenberg (Papageno-Theater), Jean-Peter Braun (concert guitarist) Alexandra Sostmann (concert pianist), Ruslan Bezbrozh (concert pianist) and Heike Matthiesen (concert guitarist).
