Bohumír's wide and complete music education started at his early age at the Music Gymnasium in Prague under Irina Kondratěnko and later on at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under František Malý. He went on and got his master's degree at Edsberg Music Institute, part of the Royal Academy in Stockholm and one of the most prestigious music academies of all the Northern Europe. At Edsberg he studies postgraduate diploma in interpretation under well-known Swedish pianist Mats Widlund.

He obtained Yamaha Scholarship Award in 2014 and the prestigious KMA Swedish National Scholarship for both solo piano, chamber music and accompaniment.

Bohumír has participated in many master classes, having lessons with world's foremost music teachers and performers (Jiri Hlinka - Norway, Daniel Blumenthal - USA/France, Eva Poblocska - Poland, Martin Roscoe - England or Konstantin Bogino - Russia/Italy). He studied chamber music with Jan Vogler, Jiří Hlaváč,Karen Gomyo, Mira Wang, Robert Chen, Daniel Schnyder and others. At this time Bohumir performs as a soloist and also as a chamber musician (especially in a duo with a flutist Jana Jarkovská – Duo du Rêve), he is a teacher at the masterclasses of the festival D'Accord and he records for the Czech Radio regularly. He performs more and more frequently with foremost orchestras. He has also experiences with voice and melodram. His devotion to keyboards leads him to be active as a cembalist and an organist too. He also studied conducting under the composer and conductor Jiři Smutný.
