Abraham Mateos


Born in 1991 in Palma de Mallorca. Award (piano) in the internal contest of the professional Conservatory of music of Murcia. First prize competition "Between strings and metal" Cartagena, second prize contest Peninsular "Santa Cecilia" of Segovia (together with prize for the best interpretation of Spanish music), first prize national competition "Infanta Cristina" in Madrid, first prize national competition "City of Murcia", third prize international contest "City of San Sebastian", second prize international contest "Ennio Porrino" of Cagliari (Italy), Preisträger Sommerakademie im Mozarteum in Salzburg (Austria).

Performances as a soloist in different towns and cities of Spain (RNE in the Real Casino de Madrid recording), Belgium (Steinway & Maene Academy), Holland (CODARTS), Italy (International Festival of Siena), France (Schola Cantorum, Le Prieuré Le Mesnil Saint-Martin) and Austria (Solitär, Studientkonzertsaal, Kleines Studio, Wiener Saal and Grosser Saal). 

Performances as a soloist together with the Orquesta de Cámara de Cartagena and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castellón. He has collaborated with the Orchestra "Gabriel Fauré", performing at the Víctor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia, and with the Camerata Strumentale 'Città di Lucca". Studies of piano with the renowned teacher Aquiles delle Vigne at the "Schola Cantorum" of Paris (France).

He is also a PhD student in the UMU within the Department of music history. Speaker at the II Congress MUCA of Murcia.

Scholarships granted by the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg (Austria) to participate in the Sommerakademie in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Scholarship of the Ministry of education for master's degree studies and advanced doctoral studies.
