Venezuelan-Spanish tenor Alain Damas, renowned for his musical expressiveness , iniciated his musical studies in Caracas at Maria Teresa Hurtado Academy, belonging to "The National System of Youth Orchestras Simon Bolívar", after; he travels to Madrid in order to continue his vocal studies with mezzo Teresa Berganza at Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía and finish them with Enzo Spatola and Daphne Evangelatos in Munich.


            He has participated in Fórum Barcelona 2004, at the festivals: Bilbao Ars Sacrum, Xacobeo, Música Sacra de Segovia, Festival Internacional de Música de la ciudad de Lucena, Festival Música Antigua Sant Feliú de Guixols, Festival de Zarzuela de Tenerife, Festival Dos Camiños de Galicia, Festival de Música Española de Cádiz, en el Festival Felicia Blumental de Tel Aviv and Internacional Theather Festivals of Sydney, Caracas and Bogotá.


            He regularly performs at many important theaters such as: Teatro Real de Madrid, Teatro de la Zarzuela, Auditorio Nacional Madrid, Auditori y Palau de la Música Barcelona, Auditorio Miguel Delibes Valladolid, Teresa Carreño Caracas, Teatro Colón Bogotá, Euskalduna Bilbao.


            He has work with several prestigious conductors like Helmut Rilling, Lucas Pfaff, Christopher Hogwood, Jordi Savall, Christoph Spering, Max Valdés, Antoni Ros Marbá, Enrique García Asensio, Jesús López Cobos, Salvador Brotons, Pablo Mielgo, Josep Prats, Ramón Torrelledó and Aldo Salvagno.


            His repertoire include a large number of leading roles in operas and zarzuelas by Monteverdi, Mozart, Donizetti, Bellini, Rossini, Verdi, Bizet, Gonoud, de Falla, Guerrero, Penella Moreno, Vives and Moreno Tórroba. Equally on the concert plataform, he has a vast concert repertoire of genres such as Oratorio, Cantata and Lied from composers like Boccherini, Händel, Bach, Mozart, Salieri, Haydn, Rossini, Dvořák, Mendelssohn, Mahler and Verdi, up to composers like Stravinsky, Orff, Britten, Mompou, Ginastera and Guastavino.


            Also, Alain Damas has participated in the recording of Xavier Benguerel's Llibre Vermell with Sinfónica de Cataluña and in the first recording of Federico Mompou's complete works for voice and piano together with the pianist Antón Cardó.


            Recent engagements include: Camille in Lehár's Die Lustige Witwe, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, Boccherini's Stabat Mater, Fenton in Verdi's Falstaff, Pietro in Salieri's La Passione di Gesù Cristo, Tamino in Mozart´s Die Zauberflöte.
